Music with a new dance move

My sweet baby girl is growing up so fast... way too fast!  Everyday she is growing into a toddler more than a baby... soon i hope to start sharing more of what she says a does.  Here is a starter for you...

Our friend Monica introduced us to some new music.  After downloading a couple of new songs I had them playing throughout the house one day.  As my Little Girl came into the room where the music was playing from she threw her arms up into the air above her head and started swaying back and fourth with joy all over her face!

Now, we sing and dance a lot in our home but this was a new move for her.  I assumed that her Aunt Monica had taught it to her, but alas she had not.  This is not a move she does all the time, only with this new song.  It really touched my heart.

She, in all of her sweetness and innocence, heard the music and instantly threw her arms up to dance, but in my heart it was if she was already praising the Lord!

"Praise the Lord oh my soul..."

First time in a pool!

I should tell ya' the AC at the resort was amazing...
on that note Baby Girl was already getting in the water by the time I realized that the camera was fogged up... oh well.  So above it is actually first time in a pool... the rest of the pics are from the following days :)

Doesn't your resort come with rubber duckies?

A pic of all of us enjoying the nice warm water!
Baby Girl really did enjoy her times in the pool, we had a great time...

until we started getting sick :(
Now we have learned... take your vacation days before the meeting.
So when all the kiddos share their bugs & germs from across South Asia you can be sick at home!

BG's sweet Babies- One Teachers

Babies on Parade!

BG's first stroller ride & she was a fan!

They really were so sweet with our little ones :)

First time to the Beach!

Our recent trip is going to take several posts to cover...
so lets start at the beach!

Sadly, this day was towards the end of our trip &
at the beginning of BabyGirl's cold/ fever/ Hand Foot & Mouth.
We think she still enjoyed things though.

She was rather unsure about this but did not get upset :)

Ahhh... safe back in Daddy's arms.

It really was a beautiful place!  This evening there was no rain, it rained off & on the entire trip...
but it is the monsoon season so we expected some of that :)

Naturally there were beach cows... which is why we did not get anything more than our toes wet!

But hey... if I were a cow I would hang out at the beach too!

Love them!

She has grown so much & is truly very helpful :)

This was our first time touching the sand... also rather unsure about this.

But after a few minutes things got better

& BG naturally wanted to put it in her mouth!

We are very blessed that we got to spend time here...

very blessed indeed!

6 months!

I thought about blogging Baby Girl's 6th month many times...

then what do you know?   i am taking her 7 month pictures...
so sorry.  but this is progress, soon I promise I will blog about her 7th month :)

as you can tell it was hard to pick just one picture to share.
we are told all the time she is a "doll" or "toy" (same word, different meaning within the context).
some of these faces we honestly looked at & thought,
"Yeah, I see the doll!"  :)

6 month Highlights:
assisted sitting up. and sometimes unassisted :)
comfortably wear 6-9 mth clothing.  6th way too short for this long babe!
thinks about crawling.  does the swimming thing like she is thinking about it...
turns over quickly.  like from her belly to back, so we put her back.
girlfriend still is not a fan of tummy time but is going okay.

Solids.  way more than cereals too.
this was peas.
was it mean to start with peas?
probably.  now we know.

poor thing.
seriously, before liked her cereals.
but when got the peas in her mouth made this face...
then gagged & threw up.  :(

but all foods are getting better...
lets see... we currently have in the freezer:
peas - tolerates but accepts happily alternatively with fruit
zucchini - loves this
summer/ yellow squash - also loves
apples - not her fav but likes okay
green beans - also tolerates
bananas - some days loves & some days not
pumpkin - favorite!  girl loves her fresh pumpkin!
carrots - also really likes... just started these
prunes - you know... for the days when you just need a prune to help things along
hm barley cereal - also tolerates - but likes with pumpkin :)

we also have one of those snazzy mesh self feeders...
(sorry lacking a picture here)
in those she enjoys both banana & frozen chunks of mango

being pretty cute before church one day.
in great-grandma's dress on the same great-grandma's hm quilt!

then finally we celebrated mommy's birthday!
this was at the end of the day but still managed to get a smile out of her :)

this was the real face we kept getting...
gosh i love her!

Trip to Nepal

Our trip to Nepal was fully of many firsts...
Baby Girl did a great job flying!
We were definitely more nervous about her experience than she was :)

Who knew that there is also a great Tex-Mex place in Kathmandu?  Well... I guess people know but it is one of those places that can take you by surprise!  I gotta say, it was nice to eat some Tex-Mex without having to prepare it all myself :)

While the main purpose of our trip was to get our Little One's visas arranged we managed to travel with some of our friends & their LO for the same purpose.  Thankfully, this day, the Daddys let the babes nap while they toughed it out at the embassy!

Here are some shots of our hotel... it was a pretty nice place to be in the middle of the tourist heart of the city!

It was pouring rain in these pics!  One would think the rain would clear out the air & dust...
but not in Kathmandu.  It just gets wet!

The nice little breakfast nook in our hotel.

Getting ready to go explore town a bit!

Hanging out with our sweet friends!
(do you know how hard it was to get that pic?  i have blurry pics, pics with them chewing on each others hands, everything but a picture with them both smiling at the camera!)
