If you know anything about Brad & I you know we like to tell stories. We both believe with our full hearts that a story can communicate great Truth and The Story can even save & change lives.
Right now in our language quest we have started a new phase... a phase of telling stories... not exactly the same stories Brad & I are use to telling, but at our language level it is defiantly something we are working towards!
Allow me to tell you the story of the "Good Bird"
(Are you ready... 'cause this is a really good one?!)
There is a field with one tree & one house in it.
The sky is blue & has 5 clouds.
The green field has red & white wild flowers growing in it.
There are many birds flying in the sky.
One pink bird flies near a green Christmas tree.
The green tree has many branches.
The bird sits on top of the tree looking into the nearby house.
In the house near the window there is a table with a fishbowl on it.
The bird sits on the window and looks into the house. The fish does not see the bird.
Now the pink bird sits on the table where the fish in the fishbowl sits.
The fish is not happy, he is scared & sits against the left side of his bowl.
The bird then flies away.
The fish is happy.
The bird flies to another tree, a fruit tree. The bird is happy because he found fruit.
The bird flies to the house with a worm in his beak.
The bird & the fish are both happy now.
The fish does not think the bird wants to eat him.
The bird sits on the edge of the fishbowl and shares the worm with the fish.
The friends are happy now, eating the worm.
These are good friends, happy, full & asleep.
He is a good bird.
Riveting isn't it? You were on the edge of your seat weren't you?
Well, it may not be the next story to be made into a big movie... but it is a good start!
Note: There is any entire side story about the sad worm... but no one wants to hear sad stories :)
