Faces & Places

A few weeks ago I was so blessed to see some of my teammates from Mali!

Then Brad & I were off traveling again... but this time we were so blessed to have some friends & family with us!

Good looking people huh?

Once our friends & family left we continued travel on...

To Italy...

then Germany, Brad loved the food there!

Did a little shopping in Japan & China...

then finished off our day with dinner in Morocco!  Yum!

In case you didn't know we actually did get to travel to all those places... we were at Epcot!!!

We really did have a great time & got to see some sweet places!
Then we got to see some famous faces as well!

Sorry but that is NOT The Captain Jack Sparrow... can you believe it?

We truly did have a great time together at the Magical World of Disney!

What a fun trip  :)

Sitting still

Good morning all!

Right now I hear the sounds of the wind rustling the trees, birds singing, dump trucks & cars (I am in the suburbs after all, life can't be all wind & birds)... the temperatures are very cool for September & I am finding real enjoyment in wearing long sleeves & pants... it has been a good morning to sit still.

I sat still with my breakfast, sat with my coffee & favorite Book... now I sit with my mac on my lap... still & quite but a bit more focused.

Why does sitting still seem like such a luxury?

I think sitting still with a good cup of coffee can do a person a lot of good... for me it helps me relax, focus my thoughts, and realize what is & may not be important.  This is good for me... especially looking ahead.  I know we are to live each day as it may be our last... I know I have no place to talk about going here or there tomorrow... to spend time in this or that city... but when it is before you in BIG ways I almost can't help myself.

I was able to sit still in Kentucky.  To sit with my family around the dinner table, all gathered in the back porch... where there never seems to be enough seats for the people & the cat, and even at the funeral home watching & praying as my cousins had to say goodbye & bury their dad.  Sometimes sitting in the right place... even in silence... speaks louder than words can...

Now I sit in Arkansas... a little sad that my coffee cup is cold & empty but still refreshed the same.  I am excited about all that is in our future... I am ready in many ways (but not all) to move & live in South Asia. I am truly thankful for the quite still moments but I know this is not real life... I am thankful for the present but eager for what is ahead.
