Yesterday in my language time with my tutor our conversation turned to what we would be cooking for dinner. While what we cook for our families always varies between us we still have a plan of what we may cook for the week. But yesterday neither of us had a plan... outside of going home & making something up.
She then tells me, "I'm going to go eat Husband's head."
(That is the literal translation for you!)
I laughed, then she paused and asked me to to pay attention to what she was saying. I understood all the words and how is said it, but the meaning was new for me.
She said it again and we laughed some more as I realized she was going to, "Pick his brain." (as we would say in the US) to figure something out for dinner!
There you go... I learned something new yesterday. The local way to ask for ideas! Now I can go, "Eat other's heads" when I need to :)
