3 Months Already?!?!
My sweet Baby Girl,
It is hard to believe that you are already 3 months old! Amazing! This month you have started several new things... how about smiling more?!!?? You are so cute! We talk to you... you smile. We change your diaper... you smile. You hear Nana on Skype.... you smile. You play... you smile. You whack at your toys... you smile! See, you are so fun! Last week you even started laughing!
You have discovered you hands this past week as well. You move it around more, watching your every move. You put it in your mouth, even when you are not hungry, just because you can! And you are now much more attentive when you play & whack at your toys. Btw, we are guessing you will grow up a lefty, just like your daddy. :)
You still like bath time. Even though it is always so hot here now you love laying back in your whale tub and splashing at us! You also still like to be worn in a wrap or carrier by mommy or daddy almost every day. When we travel, just around the house, or sometimes just to calm you down we can wear you & you go to your happy place!
One thing you still dislike is tummy time. Whoa. We do really good to hit the minute mark before you get really angry & upset! But, if mommy or daddy lays back with you on your tummy on our tummy you raise up and move your head around really well. Speaking of moving your head around, you are so strong! Most all the time you hold your head up & move it around so you can see everything that is going on, sometimes when you get too sleepy you get kinda bobbly-headed or you just sit your head down in mommy or daddy's hands and go to sleep :)
You have also started talking with us :) Talking as in your make sweet little sounds & coos for your side of our conversation! When even caught a bit on video:
Your current Stats:
- length- 56.5 cm at the same dr.'s appt
- weight- 5.3 kgs at your last dr appt May 2
- diapering- we switched to cloth diapers this last month & really like them :) But, since it is now hot season here in South Asia it is of course hot, duh, and very dry so there is now a water shortage. so, thus the remained of hot season you will be in disposable diapers, size small. but mommy has started making your wipes and we all like them! which is good since they cost 1/2 as regular wipes!
- clothes- you are wearing the largest of your 0-3 month & 3-6 month clothes already, it does seem like every day I am putting aside the more of your clothes that are too small & short for you :)
- sleeping- at the end of april you moved out of your moses basket in mommy & daddy's room to your own crib in your room! you do well once you finally get to sleep, but it does take you longer now that it did before the move to catch your zzzzzs. until just a couple of days ago you were sleeping 7 - 9 hours per night! whoa! talk about happy parents :) but just the last several days you seem to require less sleep... which has mommy more tired but it's okay, my coffee intake has just increased a bit! You were sleeping a good long stretch at night then maybe 1 longer nap a day, now you are sleeping about 5 hrs at night then cat-napping more throughout the day. If only mommy could always nap when you do! You make it look so good!
- eating habits- up until about 2 1/2 weeks ago you were nursing full time. but then for different reasons you started drinking almost exclusively from a bottle. expressed breast milk & formula. we have tired nursing again but it seems that it is best for you to take the bottle! it can't hurt that bad, you put on 1.5 kgs between your doctor appts! way to go!
We love you BabyGirl! so very much! you are a huge blessing in our lives and we are thankful we get to be your parents! We love you yesterday, today, tomorrow & forever!
